Oprah should invite both HIllary and Palin to be on her show |
|
The righties are giving Oprah a lot of flak for refusing to invite Palin onto her show. Well, I think she should invite both Palin and Hillary to be on the same show. There's a 99% chance that Palin would refuse and Hillary would agree. It would create a great opportunity to reach out to women voters. And if Palin agreed to be on the same show with Hillary, I think Hillary would expose Palin for the lightweight she is.

I think you are right and Oprah needs to invite Hillary, Palin, Biden, McCain and Obama on her show. If she does not invite either McCain or Palin the Republicans will be able to scream bias in that she has already come out in support of Obama. Therefore, Oprah is in a bit of a catch 22 in that even if she had the Republicans on her show, if things do not go well for them the Republican Party will just say it proves the bias of herself and the media.

3. Again, how exactly does Clinton fit into that list? |
|
Clinton is not on the ticket, for better or worse. The list is Palin, Biden, McCain and Obama.

Hillary and Palin are the two most prominent women in politics.

14. This is campaign season. |
|
Palin was not a prominent woman in politics until last week, and her prominence is only a result of her odd selection by McCain. Giving the VP candidate of one party free airtime without a corresponding gift to the other VP candidate is just wrong. Clinton is not a substitute for Biden. Equating Palin to Clinton is insulting to Clinton: Senator Clinton has earned her prominence, Palin has not.

2. Hillary is not running for anything. |
|
If she invites vice presidential candidates it ought to be Biden and Palin. But she doesn't have to invite anyone, it is her show, she is a huge network cash machine and she can do anything she wants. I see no reason why Oprah, a solid Democrat, ought to give that fundamentalist loon Palin any airtime at all.

5. Depends on how the show is presented. If it's presented as |
|
'Women candidates in the 2008 presidential run' where would Biden, McCain, and Obama fit in? Include Cynthia McCinney in the mix.
It's the shows direction and how it's presented that determines who the guests are.

19. Well, I suppose that depends on how you define |
|
'presidential run'. Personally, I include anyone who's name is on either ticket, as well as all candidates who ran for the office of president.

Big a-do about nothing...again, what you do when you have nothing productive to say about your candidate, party or platform.

8. Why SHOULD Oprah invite Palin to HER show? |
|
I would think the righties would be glad Oprah ISN'T having Sarah Palin on her show. As everyone knows, Oprah is a big supporter of Barack Obama. And, as we've seen, Oprah can be something to behold when angry...remember after James Frey, author of "A Million Little Pieces" was on "Oprah", following the disclosure that a lot of the alleged memoir was made up? Oprah was quite angry then.
I think Sarah Palin dodged a huge bullet with this.

This is Obama's race now. Not hers.

12. No. She said she made a commitment at beginning to support Obama and not have any other |
|
candidates on. She is sticking to her commitment.
Good for her.
She is already supporting Obama, so if Palin is on, that only helps THEM. Having Hillary on doesn't help Obama any more than Oprah is already helping him.
Plus...Hillary isn't on the Obama/Biden ticket.

together, it would suggest that they were.

16. Oprah can do whatever the hell she wants. It is HER SHOW. And it is NOT a political show. |
|
Why don't you ask "Regis and Kelly" to have Palin on? Or "Letterman"? Or "The View"?

Palin is not running against Hillary and Oprah has the right to decide who she wants on her show I think it is a good thing to wait until after the election - couldn't bear to hear her lies about just a hockey mom & ebay on that stage

Because I'm sure Oprah doesn't want to be told what she can or can't ask.
