$385 for eye glass frames
$800 for the lenses. How many pairs does Sarah Palin have?

7 pairs.

800+385 = 1,185 x 7 = 8295

msnbc

:wtf:

Yeah, right.

On edit: I need ONE pair, and the eye exam to go with them. No insurance and no healthcare here.

8. Leave the family out of it
:sarcasm:

You mentioned Mom, Mom implies family, can't have that unless you are praising her great accomplishment.

16. It could be a blended lens aka no line bi-focal
Although mine cost about $250/300

(So Caribou Barbie doesn't have to look like she is middle aged)

6. The frame cost is not unusual, but the lenses?
And why 7 pairs? I can see, understand 3. I have three, one "current" and two older ones (my 'script hasn't changed in 5 years). But 7? Maybe that's a pair for each of McCain's houses? You know, in case she forgets them.

11. I posted similarly above
I also have three pairs.

Safety glasses for work.
Everyday glasses and one pair for working at the computer.

Add them all up and they might come to the cost of one of Palin's.

21. It's not about the overpriced eyeglasses
It is about how out of touch these people are with the rest of us.

They claim to be one of us when they don't know how many homes they own, wear $3000.00 outfits and yes $400 dollar glasses. All made somewhere other than the USA.

Out of touch!

9. i wear glasses...
i paid almost 400 for my high-end frames.
they are lightweight and don't change the look of my face too much.
last forever, this brand.

i don't have 7 pair, though.

Frames, sure. I've never heard of lenses that expensive though. My co-worker gets these super high dollar no-line trifocals, and they're nowhere near $800

34. I used to spend a lot on frames when I wore glasses but lenses $800?
What the heck, are they x-ray goggles?

It's not that much for a pair of frames given you wear them all day everyday. Of course, I only had one pair at a time!

I had to switch to contacts for the vision correction I needed, but I wonder why she hasn't.
