Silver State Bank is history and Andrew McCain resigned from its Board in July citing 'personal reasons'.

At what age can we start talking about Candidates' Kids? Andrew McCain is one of the two sons of Carol McCain that Sen. Straight Talk adopted. He was on stage Thursday night. He is currently CFO of Hensley and owns 6.8% of their stock.

In a larger than usual Friday news dump it was announced that a Small Bank in Nevada was closed. Until the end of July Andrew McCain sat on their board of directors and owned 1226 shares of stock in the Silver State Bank.

CNN Wire has a couple of lines about the closing that was posted at 10:32PM edt. without any reference to Andrew McCain's connection.

The Savings & Loan Scandal which included Neil Bush was never discussed when Bush I and Bush II ran for office. The Keating 5 scandal is not worth discussing. I guess John covered that in his acceptance speech saying he has always been "a servant, but an imperfect servant" of his country.

And while Homes are being foreclosed and the rescue of Fannie and Freddie are being discussed another 'little bank' gets hidden in the news dump.

John, energized by the new, younger Palin at his side today talked about "tough times" on the stump. Ole "$5M is middle class, how many homes do I have" was commiserating with those who are victims of deregulation and a runaway supply side speculating robber baron 'free wheeling' market today.
As I was looking at the "well wardrobed" group of John, Cindy and Sarah, I thought of the story of Momma Roberta of whom it has been said that she went out to buy a dress and came home with a Mercedes.
