What Was Palin's Insulting Remark About Jews?? |
|
Was watching Countdown yesterday (Maddow hosting). She flipped through a long laundry list about Palin "stuff" (i.e., bridge to nowhere supporter; gay basher; book banner, etc.). Right in the middle was some remark about "Jews" and "because they don't accept Christ as their savior, etc.". Does anyone know what it is that Palin has said ...because it could blow this race wide open?
This needs to be found and Obama campaign has to use it in ads listing "Palin's position on things" and run it heavily in Florida (along with Philly suburbs, etc.).
The Jewish community (particular the older people) insist on 100% support for Israel and are still "iffy" about Obama (but I understand they love Joe). If this can be gotten out, they will realize that she's one heartbeat away from an old man to being President; and, anyone who speaks this way is automatically suspect that they will not be a strong defenders of Israel. Soooo...please, someone find out what this obnoxious fundie said! This has to be pushed!

And that we had a Biblical imperative to defend the nation of Israel.
Or some other such horrible thing, mixing religion and politics.
It was a story about her Pentecostal roots.

2. probably about her "pastor problem" |
|
she did sit through a sermon at her own church where her pastor made comments about Jews. Said that Israel deserves terrorist attacks because they don't worship jeebus.

3. A recent guest speaker is a leader of Jews for Jesus. Also, the pastor himself |
|
is a product of the Jews for Jesus group.
This is, indeed, a big problem for Palin among Jews, even those who might tend to support McCain.

"Terrorism is God's judgment against the Jews." ... "God's judgment of unbelief of the Jews"
This was Jew for Jesus Larry Brickner, guest sermon at her church. She sat through it and didn't say a word.

6. Heard NYTimes or W Post doing a thing on "pastor problem" |
|
Apparently there is something coming out in major newspaper in next couple days about her "pastor problem". Anybody know anymore about what all they dug up? I assume, then, that this quote from above is part of it. And, this time Palin was actually THERE instead of trying to pin things on Obama when he wasn't present in his church when Wright went off-base!

8. Not a big deal, since Jews are a minority. |
|
Same reasoning says it's ok for the Republicans to hate on African Americans.
Wright spoke about whites in America, so that was a huge deal.

"The Jewish community (particular the older people) insist on 100% support for Israel and are still "iffy" about Obama (but I understand they love Joe)." ================= Yeah. They're all absolutely 100% identical and interchangeable. Not one shade of difference or political opinion among any of them. :sarcasm:

Jewish voters may be wary of Palin By BEN SMITH | 9/2/08 6:53 PM EST
...
“There is almost always an inverse proportion between a candidate's popularity among conservative Christians and secular Jews,” said Jeff Ballabon, a Republican lobbyist long active in Jewish politics who supports McCain.
An illustration of that gap came just two weeks ago, when Palin’s church, the Wasilla Bible Church, gave its pulpit over to a figure viewed with deep hostility by many Jewish organizations: David Brickner, the executive director of Jews for Jesus.
Palin’s pastor, Larry Kroon, introduced Brickner on Aug. 17, according to a transcript of the sermon on the church’s website.
“He’s a leader of Jews for Jesus, a ministry that is out on the leading edge in a pressing, demanding area of witnessing and evangelism,” Kroon said.
Brickner then explained that Jesus and his disciples were themselves Jewish.
“The Jewish community, in particular, has a difficult time understanding this reality,” he said.
Brickner’s mission has drawn wide criticism from the organized Jewish community, and the Anti-Defamation League accused them in a report of “targeting Jews for conversion with subterfuge and deception.”
Brickner also described terrorist attacks on Israelis as God's "judgment of unbelief" of Jews who haven't embraced Christianity.
"Judgment is very real and we see it played out on the pages of the newspapers and on the television. It's very real. When was in Jerusalem he was there to witness some of that judgment, some of that conflict, when a Palestinian from East Jerusalem took a bulldozer and went plowing through a score of cars, killing numbers of people. Judgment — you can't miss it."
Palin was in church that day, Kroon said, though he cautioned against attributing Brickner’s views to her.

They have the audio tapes from her church where it was spoken while she was there.
Forget it though. The man who uttered this crap is not a scary black man so the MSM will not touch it.
