Who are three people who have never been in my kitchen???
If anyone remembers the old Cheers episode "Who is ........Cliff Clavin?" You might remember that line. It was Cliff Clavin's question to the Final Jeopardy answer of Archibald Leach, Bernard Schwartz and Lucille LeSueur. I state it here because I think it really sums up the whole "Palin has more experience than Obama" argument we keep hearing over and over and over.

In the strictest of intrepretations, Palin DOES have more executive experience than Obama. However, it is dishonest on an intectual level to actually believe that a degree in journalism, being the mayor of a town of 5,000 and being Governor of a state of 650,000 for eighteen months gives a person more experience than an ivy-league educated expert on Consitutional Law and United States Senator who has spondered many bills and has run perhaps the most brillaint Presidentail compaign in modern history. It is, in reality, the Cliff Clavin answer. Nothing more, nothing less.

This is smoke and mirrors, unfortunately, we have a lot of Cliffords out there in America, and they buy the soundbite. It never ceases to amaze me how political policies, experience, and education are tossed out the window in the election cycle while soundbites, 30 second campaign commericals, and Sean Hannity blurbs are embraced and truth and are carried with people as they enter the voting booth.

To me, it seems that even if you DON'T usually vote for a Democrat, having Palin a hearbeat away from the presidency would really make you re-consider your choices, and determine that experience MUST trump emotion. We are, after all, talking about the Leader of the Free World, the Commander in Chief of the most deadly military to ever set boot on foreign soils, and the leading economy in the world. It seems so much is at stake, yet I hear this stupid talking point everywhere I go.

My response to these emmotional voters (let's be honest, that is what they are, they vote from emotion not from logic) is now and shall continue to be .....CLIFF CLAVIN WOULD BE PROUD OF YOU!
