Good stuff I overheard from Faux Watchers. |
|
I took the trolley home from the store today, too hot to walk. On board came two couples with two cute children, I would say the women were sisters and the visiting couple was from Tampa. (Very red). Anyway, I overheard "Orily" and immediately perked up. I knew immediately these were pubs talking, if they watch Orily that's my only conclusion. Anyway, the men (in their early 40s were really annoyed with Orily because he kept cutting Obama off the other night, wouldn't let him answer. They went on about how this is his style and how great Obama performed, kept his cool, etc. They said unfortunately Bill would cut him off and they wanted to hear the end of Barack's answers.
There was then a discussion briefly re Faiin. All were shaking their heads in non-approval, and the one gal said "even my mother said this is really going to be bad." Ah, it was a joyous little trip and I smiled at them all as I got off and patted the little guy in the stroller on the head. My only regret was I don't have my Obama shirt yet, but if this is the way these young people on the right are discussing things I'm thinking we're doing a lot better with them than the media is letting on.....

how they try to package it, you can't lie when everything costs sooooo much more and every other person you know is losing their job or their home.. NO, Tampa Bay is waking up.
On Edit: Did you watch the interview? I did to see what was going on.. and that was the only reason anyone turned in to watch on the left.

3. One of my employees boyfriend (republican) |
|
was having a conversation with 3 middle aged blue collar guys both very conservative and the consensus was that they all feared the thought of Mrs. Mooseburger being a heart beat away from the presidency. They really can't bring themselves to vote for a black guy so at this point they are all staying home on election day. The boyfriend told me he would in no way vote for McCain or Obama. I have been working on him but making little progress.

If you can recruit 4 young people for Obama, that's a net of +8 votes for Obama over McCain. Not bad for so little work!

My sister who happens to be a Democrat in office in a small town says she can't vote for Obama or McCain either one. OMG. Don't these people understand that a "no vote" is going to have the net result as a "yes vote" for McCain? She's still smarting over the loss of Hillary, but I think it's more racial than not. :(

10. I'm still in shock that people in 2008 "can't vote for a black guy" |
|
Still can't figure out how the color of someone's skin makes any difference. If Obama appearance had favored his mother's side of the family, those guys would probably vote for him. Same person, different skin tone. That's just wrong.

9. LOL He clearly intimidated O'Reilly. O'Reilly was nervous |

and trying to act in control. It was making me laugh.
