I mean really, if they didn't think she was ready for prime time, why did they pick her?

They don't want no sass from their wifes and will tolerate no misspoken word in public.

If the people fall for this, and it appears as if a lot of the public all ready has, and successfully re-make Sarah into some kind of anti-feminist feminist, it will set back the cause of "ordinary" women back decades.

1. Open doors for her; pull out her chair; write her speeches; and keep those nasty reporters away.

After all, she's a "liberated" woman!!! You can tell by how she vilifies "liberals" and (black) "community organizers" (like the PTA???).

It astounds me that ANY woman is fooled by this. Britney is being protected from the paparazzi!

2. That's right.....
It's the GOP who is treating Palin in a sexist manner. They chose her for her gender, youth, and looks, and now they're treating her like their precious little girl they have to protect/control. It's infuriating.

6. I agree. She could have turned them down.....
but Palin is complicit in her own exploitation.

5. It's just ridiculous that anyone falls for this...
Of course it gives the people within the GOP a chance to gloat about how unbiased they are when it comes to gender. But that doesn't make it right to closet their VP nominee from the press because she isn't "ready" (menaing tame) yet.

9. Promoting/hiring a woman who is unqualified....
for any job does women as a whole no favor. An unqualified woman will do a bad job, which will reinforce sterotypes of female incompetence. That's one reason smart women are reacting so badly to this Veep pick.

The GOP is setting Palin up for failure. And when she does fail, they will cry "sexism" when she's criticized.

4. Obviously, McCain is quite taken and excited (is that lady-like enough?) about Palin.
They will dress her and groom her, slick up her manners (although McGoo doesn't have many) and he will stand beside her, ogling in a "fatherly" way and leading the adoring applause.

As one commentator said, McGoo is excited like he hasn't seen him for years. I also noticed that Cindy is watching vewwwwwy closely.

For months, John has pushed her back...she's tiptoed around him, being sure she isn't in front or too far behind...looking at him with that loving gleam in her eyes that makes you want to puke. (Sorry, but ladylike only carries me so far with this group!)

It's going to be "GIGI" all over again. I can't wait to see the new Sarah. I just hope McGoo can sing on key.

8. According to the GOP spin doctors...
she's tough enough to handle hostile foreign leaders, yet they are afraid of what questions the American MSM will ask her.
