**BREAKING NEWS: McCain Campaign Steals Flags From Obama Denver Speech, Accuses Dems of Negligence

Fox News is reporting on approximately 12,000 US flags distributed Saturday to audience members at a Colorado Springs rally for John McCain that were, in fact, stolen from organizers of the Democratic National Convention in Denver after Barack Obama's acceptance speech last Thursday night.

McCain supporters said the flags were discovered by a vendor at Denver’s Invesco Field after the conclusion of the Democratic National Convention. But, according to an official with the Obama campaign, "All of the flags at Invesco were picked up and put in bags and into storage, along with the unused flags and campaign signs. The flags were going to be donated, and the signs were going to be sent out to be used elsewhere."

How many flags do you think they gave out at invesco. there were 84000 in attendance. What is the likelyhood that the "anonymous" source came across EXACTLY 12000 flags at invesco, exactly the same amount as was needed for the McLame rally.

I bet the McCain campaign made a bet that the flags were tossed and went with it, thus the anonymous donor...oh and they fact that they havent responded to quite a few emails about it.

I still have mine from mile high (Obamas acceptance)... in fact I collected about 30 or so and gave them away to kids in the neighborhood. telling each of them that each flag was a part of history. and an article to be saved and treasured.

This morning, Republicans tell me that a worker at Invesco Field in Denver saved thousands of unused flags from the Democratic National Convention that were headed for the garbage. Guerrilla campaigning. They will use these flags at their own event today in Colorado Springs with John McCain and Sarah Palin.

Before McCain speaks today, veterans will haul these garbage bags filled with flags out onto the stage — with dramatic effect, no doubt — and tell the story.

"What you see in the picture I sent you is less than half of total flags," a Republican official emailed. "We estimate the total number to be around 12,000 small flags and one full size 3×5 flag."

I'm not sure what the DNC was supposed to do with
