Palin's planned "solo" campaigning Monday canceled.
She'll show up with McCain only. Anyone surprised?

4. Yup. I guess they know reporters are chomping at the bit to ask her questions...
Maybe they're afraid someone MIGHT ask her a question.

38. Actually, when she speaks of herself as a "pit bull"...
...I tend to think more of a Dalmatian who used to live near me when I was growing up, along the walk to the school bus. Every morning, whenever a kid walked by, this dumb dog would come charging out, fangs bared, barking up a storm. But all anyone had to do was shout "No!" or "Go away!" at the stupid dog, and he'd immediately stop in mid-bark, turn tail, and run away whining as fast as he could until he felt he was at a safe distance, then start the barking and snarling act again -- except, this time, while staying rooted to a position where you couldn't reach him.

Stupid and cowardly, while hiding behind a false-front of bravado...yep, that dog must have been a Republican, all right!

2. This is hurting them
She means they cover less ground and she soaks up his best staffers to bring her up to speed. Tactical stuff, but with less than 60 days to go, meaningful as well.

loses control of the message she wants to put out there.

12. Yes She Is...
Camp Gramps is running a two-front war now...one against Democrats and the other against the media. They're using her as a distraction and lightning rod to take the pressures off Gramps having to address issues or his own personal messes. Also, the Baracuda is bringing in the cash from the fundies and wingnuts.

They're trying to turn this into a popularity contest...electing prom king and queen...but it's a cynical and short-term game that shows the real desperation at play here.

32. Just Keep Attacking Him And Minimalizing Palin
Leave it to the blogs and the media to keep going after her...forcing them to keep up this ruse and distraction and make 'em choke on it.

Right now she's the "flavor of the moment"...that won't last and the way she's getting so much attention, she'll burn out on many and become an even bigger distraction within Camp Gramps.

The ultimate question is his judgement in picking her and the more she hides and tries to attack, the bigger a liability she becomes.

47. He can't do solo gigs
The rallies are about her now. If she goes solo and draws in crowds by the tens of thousands while his rallies have a few old people sleeping in fold out chairs. He is fully and completely upstaged by his VP.

25. Yes! Either way, it's bad news for them. If they do solos, he'll
look like a loser. If they keep appearing together, it looks like 1) she can't handle a solo appearance or 2) he is hiding behind her popularity with the base. I love it.

11. Barracuda? Try pretty goldfish....
Her attacks scare me about >< much. Everyday there are multiple negative stories coming out on her. She said at her convention that she doesn't care about the media. She doesn't respond to interview requests. They know for a fact that they cannot put her on TV until she's able to sit there with a good answer for every single charge.

26. Is that what he's doing, or is he trying to read her speech?
He did that when she first spoke the day she was brought to the surface. I kept watching him today, as it looked bad, but then decided it had to be the speech. Not that he isn't checking her out, mind you.

I also noticed that he made a special point of gleefully introducing Cindy and thanking her for such a great job. She must have spoken before Sassy the Cheerleader. He was sure eating up the praise.

What a loser.

30. I'm going to cut Tundra Barbie a little bit of slack this week for one reason
Her oldest kid is about to go to Iraq, so she probably wants to spend a little time with him.

She may be a bunch of vile disgusting things, but she's also a mother.

And that's the closest I'll ever come to defending her on anything. And I wonder if she's thought about the fact that the old fart she's running with would keep her son over there for the rest of his life, if he gets his way.
