that's the way I feel about it right now. Why get so emotionally invested and do all the hard work when they steal the elections and the machines aren't even reliable??

Stop thinking that way!! There are 1500 lawyers alone in Florida who will be overseeing the election. Obama is not going to let them steal it!!

5. There will be all manner of fundie automaton trolls going around saying this
They are sociopaths and use discouragement (often on public forums, fancy that!) to try to dampen enthusiasm.

Luckily, we have the strongest position of all. If they do try to steal it, it will trigger the worst rioting
we've ever seen in this country. I think they're smart enough to know that.

11. No I'm being serious, Kerry didn't fight it. do you think Obama
will. I don't think we will have a fair election until we have a democrat president.

My only other theory is that, you know the republican party doesn't like McCain.. Maybe he is the sacrificial lamb this election because they didn't have anyone good enough to go against Obama. But they want to prime someone to come in in four years to go against Obama. If they let Obama win this first term it may not be as obvious how much control they have over the elections.

I'm getting worried.. seriously I can't stand McCain and I hate Palin... I can't even take looking at their faces or hearing their voices. If they win I will be devestated and I just don't want to go thru it again like I did with Kerry :o(

Don't even try. We've seen you every election cycle in one form or another.

This time, we're focused, committed and our energy is fixed. Obama will win.

24. Maybe you should worry less about your personal tribulations...
...and more about the country's future. I, too, was devastated by Kerry's loss. So I'm fighting harder than ever to prevent a repeat.

Your future is at stake, as is my children's.:patriot:

26. Huh? If they "let" him win?
Edited on Sat Sep-06-08 04:48 PM by 1corona4u
Trust me, Obama will legitimately win this, without any assistance from the right. Americans are fed up with republicans, and I think it's starting to show more everyday.

Oh, and when Obama does win, there will be NO WAY IN HELLL this country will be ready to change in 4 years, because things will be going GREAT. Like they say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

16. The vote buggering is EXACTLY the reason to WIN IN A LANDSLIDE.
They can only fudge things so much ... in the 3-4% range I think ... without it being overly obvious... which is
why we ALL NEED TO VOTE...

two elections. I think it's a legit question to ask. I'm torn, I don't know how much effort to put into something especially if it's a lost cause.

31. How about making sure it is not stolen this time?
There are so many ways you can help and doing nothing is a sure way to defeat. There are organizations where you could contribute who go after voting fraud. Getting involved by making sure people can get to the voting sites. Being informed so that you know who and where to report to when you see suspicious activity. If we do our part and the Obama campaign does their part I believe we will be okay.

33. I saw two elections...
...stolen, too. I just think you give up awfully easy. When someone wrongs me...as the country was wronged...it makes me fight harder for what is right.

John Kerry: "My country right or wrong. When right, keep it right. When WRONG, make it right. That's what we have to do today...get out there and MAKE THIS COUNTRY RIGHT."

He's still fighting...why aren't you?

27. I don't know how you think
but knowing they steal elections drives me to work harder to get more votes

thanks for the reminder!

y'all know you can sign up at BarackObama.com to call people in swing states no matter what state you are in.

they are thieves, they are the dark force of evil, the little creatures behind the curtain. not too scary when you put them in the light and we will and we do.

you can see from their base just how stupid these people are; they're nothing to fear, trust me. They're more of a punch line than anything else. Failed policies, losers, grasping entourage of idiots being used by the pubes and they don't even know it. Their party attracts the real angry people, the people who never got dates, you know the type. The few good republicans have jumped ship a long time ago when they saw their party hijacked by the batshit anti-Jesus freaks who cleverly disguise themselves as Christians but ACT in all ways abhorrent to Jesus.

Have a great day!

28. A big turnout makes a major difference
even in corrupted election systems.

IIRC Kenya, Zimbabwe and Pakistan have seen the opposition party take over the Legislature due to a high turnout.
