The newest third party to enter the fray.. the republicans
Edited on Sat Sep-06-08 04:04 PM by peacetrain
The more I look at the republican party today, the more it looks, feels and sounds like a third party.

They have an issue, staying in Iraq, and one basic war call, John McCain was a POW (Palin is trying to add Hockey Mom, but it is starting to sound more like hockey stick)

Now the problem with third parties is their supporters are die hards willing to jump a cliff. Which means we really have to get out and smack them down.

But they are sad looking lot anyway you cut it.

edit for spelling :)

1. They are about to become a third party
The Republicans are becoming the party of theocracy. They have nothing left. As long as the Democrats manage the country better than the Republicans, we can take all of the credit and finally kill the lies that liberals are dangerous. The Republicans will become a permanent minority representing the social conservatives, with the other factions either wasting away (goodbye neocons) or infiltrating our party (hello fiscal cons).

Hopefully we'll hold together as a party and not break into factions blaming each other, as I'm almost positive DU will within weeks (or days) of winning the election.

2. Democrats are onery by nature, and we are used to
fighting among ourselves and making up. Just one big old happy dysfunctional family at times. But the republicans cannot tolerate criticism among themselves even, much less taking a second look at decisions they make. Much better to be us than them :)
