If ever there was an ill-informed electorate, they are my neighbors! This is a working-class/retired folk neighborhood -- why are they so inclined to vote against their best interests!!!!!

Not to be a downer, folks, but here in Reno, NV, (read: ANYTOWN, USA) we need to educate voters.

14. Funny -- two LDS Missionaries just knocked on MY door -- didn't have the heart to blow them off

immediately -- woulda' been kinda hypocritical, I thought. Thanked them kindly but said no thanks and when they spotted by Campaign for Change badge, they left quickly!! LOL.

16. Just Ended My First Round

I am an extremely shy person and I dreaded it, but it must be done. AND it wasn't that bad! Met a lot of nice people, some not so nice people and was able to do something tangible for the cause. My walking partner was a sweet little 17 1/2 year-old high school senior. There is so much hope for the future!

And...I hadn't done anything like this since McGovern in '68. Here's to a better outcome!

17. I was out for my local State Legislator this morning, planted 4 yard signs

and got lots of "yes" votes.

This is significant in that our district was Republican for over 20 years. The R incumbent abruptly retired mid term and our guy won the special election.

So getting him elected to a full term is very key. He seems to be doing well.

and now that they're more energized due to palin, they can assume an over 95% turnout
