They depend on their Social Security checks and are terrified of 'privatization' aka gambling on the stock market.
Furthermore, my mom has had a Medicare-based health insurance plan since my father died in 2006 for which she only pays $26 a month. She worries that McCain will gut Medicare and she'll lose her coverage.
Considering the things he's said about SS and Medicare, he shouldn't count on the senior vote.
