Pacific Northwesterners Do Not Take your Blue State Status For Granted |
|
A close friend works for a local television station in Seattle that contracts weekly political polls. Last week Obama was leading 54-38, this week Obama leads 48-44.
The media tracks these results for revenue reasons. Because Washington is a presumed Blue State, there are very few advertising dollars spent here and, less ambitious campaigning on the National level.
I'm suggesting Palin has created a bump for McCain in the Pacific Northwest. Obama supporters in Oregon and especially Washington need to be vigilant and campaign as passionately as they would in a swing state. IMHO.

1. In hindsight, this seems to have been a bad choice. |

Maybe Hillary should have been the nominee. I know that McCain is a tough opponent, seeing that the media loves him and he does not always tow the party line, but Obama is not fighting how I was expecting he would have. :-(

whether blue, red or purple state.
this is proving to be one of the most fluid election seasons in recent memory, and there are a considerable number of variables.
