Sounds like NPR will join the McSame campaign
I was in the car today with no AAR in range. Talk of the Nation was on, and they had some nelly on from the McSame campaign. Koppel and the other host let him get away with all the lies. Koppel tried to be a little bit confrontational. When the shitbag trotted out the "she lives by Russia so she's an expert on Russia" lie, Ted said somethig like "So if we ever get to interview her, we can expert her to be up on Russian politics?" But the liar piece of shit kept up the "executive experience" hoax and went basically unchallenged.

3. yeah, I listened to it, posted here, noone cared despite the great Tiger Woods line to use
Yeah, I wish Koppel would take over for Neal Conan - TOTN has been terrible since Ray Suarez left. Conan is only marginally better than Juan Williams.

4. Odd
I heard the same interview on the way home from work and got the point Ted Koppel was making. Yes, the Republican went on with his talking points, but I thought Koppel made him look like a Moose's behind several times without having to ever raise his voice. To me that is the mark of true class, simply let themselves be hoisted on their own petard.

5. I don't understand the NPR hate
I listen all the time, and in the shows I listen to Obama gets far more positive coverage, and the callers usually just bash republicans. Every now and then they let someone on the right have their say - without every word jammed down their piehole, and someone here posts how NPR is sold out. I dunno, maybe it's just the NPR shows that Oregon Public Broadcasting airs, but it seems more than balanced to me.

They had Obama's foreign policy person on a few weeks ago and were just doing the same for McCain today. He was there to give equal time; do you really expect him to be attacked for everything out of his mouth?

Nobody in the media holds everyone to the fire all the time. NOBODY!

People need to chill.

6. And this evening they played a complete audio clip of Palin
making her claims again today about her opposition to the Bridge to Nowhere, and then proceeded to show the claim to be a lie.

NPR isn't AAR - but that's OK with me; AAR gets a bit screechy to my ear.
