Florida is in play!!!! Rasmussen poll has us tied!!!!
We were up by 1 about 2 or 3 weeks ago and now it's tied after the RNC!!!! We can do this!!!

In the past 12 hours I have had one phone call to my home by an Obama staffer, 2 Obama commercials have been on tv and 1 on the radio. He is fighting for this state!!!

Any DUers from solid blue states care to move to Florida - RIGHT NOW???

I made my first donation to a political campaign and I've been voting since 1990!! Come on Floridians go out and flip some voters!!!

48-48%

"Blisters for Obama"
Once again, complete strangers and new friends knocked at my door. Happy to have them, they were welcomed into my messy home. Clipboards full of Voter Registration Forms, voting information, scripts and canvassing lists were passed around along with pens and instructions and… we were off.

My red neighborhood in my red county was hit by awesome Obama supporters. I knew there were some Democrats and Independents sprinkled throughout, but the hardcore republicans were always the loud, obnoxious ones who made their opinions known unnecessarily in situations where it was in bad taste, so I was most familiar with who they were. Personally, I was hoping that I could get a 60/40 split at best, with Obama being represented by the smaller number – and honestly, that would’ve made me hopeful.

Its hot here in Florida this time of the year. The kind of sticky heat that makes you sweat while standing still. Personally, I envied urban canvassers; hitting 50 doors in one building must be sweet. We had to trudge up and down the suburban sprawl to hit the Independents and unaffiliated voters housed here and there on long, windy streets with no shade.

The first couple hours passed painfully; I had not worn socks and developed blisters quickly. I traded my sneakers for flip-flops when I went back home for more names, and headed back out.

As the sun went down we sat at my table and helped total the results for our local Obama staffer. My split was a joke. Suffice it to say, over beer and pizza, the pain of my blisters disappeared. Replaced with the kind of optimism you can only get from great numbers. Guys, we are taking the Bay Area, and with it, the state of Florida. I can feel that now. Change is coming, and I’ve got a great seat on the Hope Express!

Join us if you can. Please hit barackobama.com and get involved. It is worth it in ways I will never be able to describe. Its our country and we can take it back – we will take it back. One phone call, one door knock, one donation, one entered statistic, one blister, one person at a time.

YES WE CAN!

11. Florida and Ohio's voting systems are so corrupt we have to win
by 10 points just so it will show up as a 2 point win. If those states go Obama great, but the focus should be to hold Michigan and fight hard for Nevada, New Mexico, and Colorado. If we learn anything from the last 8 years it should be that election fraud is just another component of American politics.

Say what you want about her, but she has the body of a 25 year old. I would take my left wing frustration on her all night long. THAT would convert her!

Jewish voters, and the WW2 generation. Those oldsters need to be reminded who got them through the War and Depression.

26. I think Palin is not helping in Florida. Older, jewish voters do not like her.
I am not surpised by this, actually. Older voters liked Hillary and then McCain but when he chose Palin it did not sit well with a lot of them because she is a fundie. Yeah, FL is a corrupt state but we might take it anyways. We should still try hard for it, it might be easier to get then in Ohio where Fundies have more influence.
