The McCain camp is playing with fire using one lie after another to try and define themselves |
|
as against the Washington establishment. By suddenly trying to show they did all these things to fight earmarks, lobbyists, corruption etc. etc. by lying then later being called out on their lies is going to start undermining their credibility and basically completely undermine their message by showing they actually are earmark king and queen's and even worse, they are dishonest.
After Bush, risking getting labeled as dishonest will KILL their campaign. Their numbers will drop like rocks. Looks like they decided to go out on a limb and risk everything and they went way over the line of believability. I think they are doomed now. This will slowly start taking its toll on them especially during the debates. They will be sitting ducks in the debates.

6. They are being called on it everywhere |
|
The media is calling them on it, Obama hit them with the "Do they think you are stupid" line, Obama has an new ad that calls them on it and Democrats are pointing these things out on all the news programs.

7. They ARE being called on it. A lot. |
|
Even the MSM is calling them on their lies fairly often. The only problem is that people may not be listening.

3. I agree - this opens a lot of doors where they can be discredited and proven to be liars. |

5. Only if people other than Rachel aren't afraid to call them liars... |
|
There is too much squeamishness in the press against using this.

8. I was thinking this earlier. They might be over doing it with all these lies. |
|
It's important that Obama calls them out on them so people are aware of it.

they play to the lowest common denominator. I work with smart women, I work FOR smart women-degreed, professionals attorney's and CPA's. There is nothing smart or professional about Palin-and what an awful message that McCain has sent to the world-this is his best choice of women in this country-this is how little he thinks of us? Can you imagine-(shudder the thought) if this woman is president some day? How well will the constant lieing, and the nasty unprofessional sarcasm go over on the world stage. All either mccain or palin have to offer are sound bites. What have we devolved to?
