"He fought the republicans, she fought the republicans." So why vote republican?
This should be one of the biggest ad buys of the Obama campaign. It is short and memorable. And it is irrefutable without endlessly detailed explanations. It fits on bumper stickers, yard signs, tee shirts or buttons. And it can be used by every democratic candidate across the country in individual races for other national, state, or local offices.

It is a political gift comparable to "I voted for it before I voted against it." It could dominate the discussion all the way to November. Mr. Magoo and Mooselini and all the other republican candidates across the country would have to try to explain it every single day.

3. Republicans won't decide this election.
Unless republican turnout is significantly depressed. In which case they would decide it for Obama. But that is not going to happen now that Mr. Magoo has chosen Mooselini as his running mate. It would be a foolish waste of time and money for Obama to target republican voters now.
