Can we can it with the PUMA stuff?
The vast majority of Hillary supporters are backing Obama, just like Hillary is. And most of the ones who aren't were probably swing voters to begin with, not embittered Hillary fans vowing vengeance. So can we just can it with blaming everything on PUMAs? It's insulting. The people doing bad things to our candidates are the Republicans. Remember them? They're the same people who thought PUMAs were a big force who would support them because of Palin, and they were wrong. If I never hear the term PUMA again, I sure won't miss it. I have to wonder about the "party unity" of people who keep trying to reopen old wounds.

1. Sorry, we can't -- not when so many of them troll DU
I've called many out -- and not one denied it because I know who they are (from reading their Obama Hate blogs).

3. They stand out.
They are the ones still acting like the sky is falling when Obama is still massively ahead in the EC and all polls show McFailin's convention bounce evaporating. Oh yeah, and almost all the PUMAs are Repuke double-agent wannabes. The rest are just morons.

4. PUMAs were never Democrats anyway.
There was a segment of Clinton voters who were just voting gender.

There were some Republicans who saw the opportunity to motivate these people when Clinton didn't gain the nomination.

There are always exceptions, but PUMAs are not and were never real Democrats.

5. Then why even use the term?
Just call them Republicans or trolls.

6. Probably because calling someone
a Republican or a troll outright will get your post deleted or your thread locked.

Of course, I'm sneaking IBTL on this thread.

7. Because that's what they call themselves?
Plus, it's a more specific subset of Republicans or trolls.

8. And there was a segment of blacks voting race and veterans voting veterans. Identity politics...

But, statistically, women, as a group, have NEVER, EVER voted as a bloc for whatever reasons. There is a gender gap, not a bloc.

10. PUMAS
They like to pretend that they're a big voter block. They're a tiny voter block, just more VOCAL and looking for ATTENTION. There is crossover votes by each party every year. After the election the "PUMAS" will be relegated to the dustbin of history.

11. I agree. So why give them the attention?
What difference does it make who they supported in the primary? If they're for McCain, they're no different from any other Republican now. And those of us who voted for Hillary in the primaries and are supporting Obama are no different from any other Obama supporter now. Why dredge up old stuff with divisive language that only helps the other side?
