To all curious Republicans
Hello, welcome to the website.

Considering the excitement of the Republican party over the McCain/Palin ticket, and your disgust at how Bush and friends have left your party and the country in ruins from a blatantly obvious money and power grab, I would ask you to consider a very important question:

Would McCain do anything about the corporate and international financial powers now tied to Bush, now tied to US policy, now tied to the war movement? Unless these people and organizations are removed from their positions of influence, the present course of affairs and economic and social conditions shall only continue and worsen. Is McCain truly, genuinely, separate from Bush and his clan, and his ruinous, unConstitutional policies? Unambiguously, obviously, carved in stone unquestionably separate and in rejection of such things? And their proven negative effects? The way you believed Bush when he and his aids first said all of those things, that have proven disappointments? Is it truly different with McCain?

Truly?

Do you believe this in the quiet, honest center of your hearts? The place which will never fool you regarding the truth and the highest possible course of action? If you have taken even a moment to qualify or re-shape McCain or the things that he has said, then I ask you to consider asking yourself again.

The question is not whether McCain would help make America closer to what you consider to be the correct course, but which candidate will take America furthest away from its current course. Which is only getting worse.

You know in your hearts that the future of America requires us to come together for America. Against the things which have placed it in its current economic, social, and unConstitutional position. Which candidate will do -more- to bring America back from this position? To a place where we will be comfortable enough to be able to live alongside each other, each of us choosing our own personal happiness and being glad for each other's opportunity to to so, versus the current path of domination, control, and promises and actions so against what our inner voice tells us is right and good, for everyone.

It is time for us to come together for America, against greed, against war and war profiteering, against aggression, against politicians tied to corporations only interested in their own agendas. This is a great country, a leader in the world stage for the very meaning of Democracy. Poor countries look to the USA for its example of freedom and truth, with the hope that their country might some day find this as well. They need this hope, this example of truth. Without the USA as a symbol of freedom and hope...well, let's just come together for the greatest possible good for all involved. Please look to your inner voices for the unmistakable truth. Thank you for your passion regarding this country; I ask you to consider using it to free America from its corruptive internal political, financial and corporate enemies, and vote for those least interested in war and dominance and control; vote for those more interested in hope, freedom, and unity. Your inner voice, that you know is right, is the path to follow. It will lead us all to the freedom and truth, for all, which is the country's very core meaning. God Bless.

1. I would ask Republicans to stay home if they can't bring themselves to vote for Obama.

Can I borrow this?

..Its too bad that appealing to someone's higher nature is so damn difficult these days. I myself am really apalled at how polarized we have become in our thinking on so many levels.

Just had a interesting conversation with a friend about ...well...let's just say she was ranting and being affected by other's behavior and then lumping them all together and when I tried to tell her she was being predjudiced towards their actions, she said I was justifing the behavior...blah, blah, blah
I told her she was only affected because she chose to be
everyone has their way of being them, and they have to live with their choices, we can't change that by force or argument
she had to get off the phone with me because I refused to engage

people are really tense right now, about everything, from what we eat to when the next shoe is going to drop... there is a sense of urgency I haven't seen...
I guess all I can do is keep hoping that coming at it from the heart - and the place of visioning something better, something we can build out of this mess.
It's like going over a long uncomfortable bridge, with our eyes closed...not remembering to just keep looking at the other side and knowing it will be great and watching it become what we had hoped for all along.
