So it sounds like some of Sarah's closest friends may vote for Obama
Edited on Mon Sep-08-08 10:43 PM by Quixote1818
They come into the video at about the 3:30 mark. For the most part they sound a lot smarter and more interesting than Sarah. Three say they haven't decided who they will vote for and made a point to say that friendship and political beliefs are two separate things. One wouldn't say who she was going to vote for and said it was a private matter. I get the feeling she will vote for Obama. Perhaps three out of the four will.

4. Obama has strong support in Alaska,
and when this is all said and done, the selection of Sarah may increase that support. We know her here. She's okay as a governor, but I don't think you'd find too many people who honestly believe she's qualified to be a heartbeat away from the presidency. She helps out McCain a little bit here, but he came in dead last in the Republican primary (after even Ron Paul), so he needed all the help he could get.

I posted this link earlier today with its embedded link to an article in the New Yorker. I think it's kind of interesting that Sarah hasn't been a strong McCain supporter before now, and, in fact, showed admiration for Obama.

6. Thanks for that link...
It seems that the barracuda may be just as willing as McSame to sacrifice beliefs and principles for personal ambition.

8. Yes, indeed,
and I'm very disappointed in her for sacrificing her principles in this way. Did you see this comment under the ADN article?

"Will the Real Palin please stand up?

"I LIKE bipartisanship, HATE partisan politics. When politicians get hung up on the party line, they sometimes can't see that they need to look past that to figure out what's best for the state. Palin has not done an altogether bad job for the state - it's been a mixed bag, and I would be seriously considering voting for her if she hadn't made that horribly partisan speech last Wednesday at the RNC."

A lot of the independents here feel this way. She really blew it at that convention -- at least here in Alaska where we saw right through that performance.

7. Even Todd doesn't vote Republican
Hell, Palin couldn't even get her own husband to become a Republican.

I think Palinapalooza will die out in 2 weeks.

13. He is an AIP type
Maybe we should let Alaska seceded. Then they would not be able to run for VP/First Dude of the US.

Sarah Palin's mother-in-law uncertain about how she'll vote

WASILLA, Alaska - Sarah Palin's hometown rallied around her as mayor - now Republicans wonder if the rest of America will warm up to the surprise pick from cold country.

Though her mother-in-law has doubts.

Faye Palin admitted she enjoys hearing Barack Obama speak, and still hasn't decided which way she'll vote.

"We don't agree on everything. But I respect her passion," she said.

Faye Palin said the entire family was shocked by the news on Friday.

"I'm not sure what she brings to the ticket other than she's a woman and a conservative. Well, she's a better speaker than McCain," Faye Palin said with a laugh. "People will say she hasn't been on the national scene long enough. But I believe she's a quick study."

16. Well, she said "I don't know what she brings to the ticket"
Sounds like she doesn't like her daughter in-law. My guess would be that "NO" she is not going to vote for McCain. She also isn't a Republican.

19. I get the feeling they do think she is a little whacked
I have friends like that. If they were on John McCain's ticket there is NO WAY in hell I would abandon my beliefs and vote for McCain. Especially knowing they were on the ticket. But I still love them as friends. Just think they lack a few screws.
