OMG .. Palin has energized McMaverick's crowds!
Edited on Mon Sep-08-08 10:40 PM by votesomemore
Have you seen any of the turnouts with her on the trail? WHAT A DIFFERENCE.

McMaverick was getting small, silent crowds. I'm watching Nighline, but I'm sure the vids are available elsewhere.

I don't like seeing those excited crowds. :(

They are saying McMaverick is riding HER coat tails...

No?

in the spirit of true dialog. I don't know why people have to be so pissy. What makes them think they are way so better than everyone else? That sounds more like the attitude of a freeper rather than a progressive trait.

Oh Jesus Gawd did you write that sentence and expect anyone to take you seriously? Way so better? Please get a book and read, it will teach you how to write. If people don't respond to your post it might be because your grammar is atrocious.

And since I do know how to write, I can take liberties. You might be happier in the McMaverick camp where everyone is perfect.

20. I hear you.
Don't respond to the people who mock you. Plenty of us get what you are saying. It's like the old joke where a guy is falling off a 100 story building and he passes a guy looking out of a twentieth story window. The guy looking out the window asks the falling guy "how's it going?" and the falling guy says "so far, so good!"

It is not disloyalty to point out potential trouble and pitfalls so that they may be avoided and remedied.

26. Thank you so much.
It's really staggering that "progressives" feel a need to take a crap on someone just for posting an observation. I usually just stay in my own little group down under where people treat each other with respect even if they disagree.

No crowds to shouting, jubilant crowds is a big change. Maybe DU needs a forum just for "cheerleaders" who are not interested in dialog. Of course, cheerleaders never won a game.

29. Also, don't respond to the language police who don't know the
difference between descriptive linguistics and prescriptive linguistics/grammar, and who aren't aware that prescriptive linguistics is considered antiquated and politically oppressive in the field of linguistics.

22. We just gave McCain too much credit as a human being
I used to think there might be something different about McCain but the reality is he is an irresponsible, stupid, desperate, deplorable, and dangerous piece of shit.

He's a traitor. He is selling out our country just to get elected. He's running on policies that he has turned his back on. What a lying hypocrite wrapped up in a flag that he shits on and no longer reveres because he has the deepest contempt for the people and the principles it represents.

McCain is not my friend because I actually do love my country. John McCain will lose the country to win an election.

30. McCain has long ago sold his soul to the devils who have been destroying this country.
A maverick is a steer that belongs to no one. Once it is roped and branded it becomes the property of whoever branded it--no longer a free animal. By choosing Palin--or more accurately agreeing to take a running mate who was chosen for him by the religious right and Big Business--he has given up any claim to maverick status.

23. Do you seriously believe after 8 years of Junior ANYONE will take a chance
on Caribou Barbie?

Seriously? People are losing their homes. They can't buy gas. They don't have jobs. Their kids are at risk for nothing in Iraq.

Do you seriously believe people will trust Mrs. Moose to fix those things?
