They all sound line attorneys. Didn't tell the truth. It's a falsehood. False statement. Distortion of the facts. A fiction.

What the hell is wrong with just saying THEY LIED????

5. I haven't seen the ad, but I DID see Barack on KO tonight. Even
Keith asked why you don't just call it lies, and Barack avoided answering the question. KO asked him if he believed he had to get meaner in the next few weeks, and Barack avoided that question too!

I understand that's just not his personality, but for God sake, kick some ass Barack!!!!!

2. Damned straight. Just call the Repukes liars already!
Don't beat around the bush. Don't say "That statement was inaccurate." or "What he said doesn't reflect the facts."

Just say "HE'S A FUCKING LIAR!!!"

Because they are liars.

9. What can I say? Sometimes, assholes need to be called out.
Biden went straight to Slobodan Milosevic, looked him in the eye and called him a war criminal.

Sometimes you've got to call them out.

8. I KNOW, but Barack sidestepped it! I know I'm a nasty bitch when I'm
trying to win an argument, and a completely opposite personality from Barack, but DAMN, kick back already!

10. I feel the same way. I'm getting exasperated at his well-reasoned, well-modulated responses.
At this point, I want blood!!

6. Obama should not make a habit of it, but better to speak the SIMPLE TRUTH than VASCILATE LIKE A POL
Edited on Mon Sep-08-08 11:28 PM by Sensitivity

Certainly good for Obama to try to maintain his brand as a new type of Politician, and leave harsh language to others. But he just looked like an stuffy politician by trying to say the same thing in a long-winded circuitous way.

11. Yes! And if I (who am an ardent Obama supporter) felt bored by his long, weak responses,
then how is that kind of approach going to win over people who at this point have
still not decided?

I think the time has come for him to be less accommodating and understanding, and more forceful.
PLEASE!!

7. "Liar" is a very sticky word.
Saying it just turns people off out of turn. It's too easy to get something like that turned around into an "example" of childishness, or at least over-agression, something the swing voters aren't fond of.

12. BS! If the subject is debatable, you're right. But if you are dealing
with statements like "I have always supported the troops" and Obama has proof of all the votes McNuts made against $ for veterans, and most recently the bill giving the vets education benefits and much more. It's a documented LIE by McNuts! I can't see how anyone could possibly spin that differently! We're not talking about positions in the campaign, we're talking about votes he has already made!

13. Any subject is debatable, that's politics.
Besides, do you really think it would help our side if Barack Obama called the "celebrated war hero" John McCain a liar and insinuated that he didn't care about the troops?

It doesn't matter if it's true or not, it doesn't matter what we hardcore lefties want, the public at large would turn on Obama in SECONDS. "How can a man who didn't even serve question a POWs blah, blah, blah..."

His campaign would effectively be over.

14. I don't remember that being the case with Kerry! They called HIM
a liar about how he got his medals, his statements about being in Cambodia, and many other things, and I didn't see the general public turn on Shrub! I'm not sure that would happen with Barack either! If a statement is documented as a lie, it should be call A LIE!

15. Did Bush himself ever say Kerry was a liar?
Perhaps he did, but if it happened, I don't remember it.

Getting other people to say it for you is different than saying it yourself, at least in the eyes of Joe Voter.
