Don't just hope, Work for Hope!
I have to say that when I see the sky is falling posts and signs of panic in this forum it makes me angry. There is a lot of time before the election and a lot of work to do. We cannot leave anything at home this election. We must put our all into the field working for an Obama (and American) victory. Let us take our cue from our candidate. He is cool and self assured. And he is correct in his assessment that the fundamentals of this race have not changed. The economy still sucks. The Iraq war is still a mistake. Lobbyists still run John McCain's campaign. Sarah Palin is a distraction, a fad and a lightweight that will sink in popularity the more people find out who she is.

So, let's put our time and effort into the field. Let's make those phone calls that we all hate to make. Let's pound on doors and wear out a pair of shoes. Let's donate the time, money and energy needed to make this a successful year for the Democratic Party and the countries future. I do believe that we will all make the necessary efforts and I believe that come November 4th, late in the night we will be celebrating the victory that this country needs so badly.

1. We need to channel our anxiety, anger, etc. phone banking from home is easy and
can be inspiring. It can all be done through the Obama campaign site. You go down a list and note if the number is working, if it is a two party household etc. You'll have many great conversations, people need help, don't know how to get an absentee ballot, etc.

Also if you are in a Blue State like California you can call into Florida or Ohio etc.
