So we're starting the white woman thing again, eh? |

Didn't we go through this in 2004 with the whole "Soccer Mom" and "Security Mom" deal? I swear this is recycled rhetoric in order to sway the public once again into believing that Gramps is the only one that can keep them safe.
No go.
The message needs to made clear that these two are in no way looking out for their best interests. Some how, some way the Obama camp needs to drive this home. I wish I knew right now how to do it.

while neither Obama nor Clinton were my choice, I think Obama made a mistake not picking Clinton as VP. Had he picked Clinton there wouldn't have been as big a "white women" swing to McCain.
Its not a surprise that white women would want to vote for a white woman any more than it is a surprise that black men would want to vote for a black man or young people would want to vote for the younger candidate.
I think that the novelty factor will wear off to some degree....but we know from 2000/2004 that voters want to vote for someone they can relate to. And women can believe that Palin understands their life better than anyone else in the campaign.

3. Using the word "white women" seems to me |
|
that they are trying to get to the subconscious or conscious racism of white males. Having a white women vote for a black male is a slam against them.
