We need to find a dart that can be used now, not after the elections.

7. Really. Just think back to the 2004 debates... |
|
...and how Kerry demonstrated total mastery of the facts, while Chimpy just kept repeating, "It's hard work bein' preznit!"
Despite glaring evidence that Kerry was the more competent candidate, the debates hardly made a difference in the race.

6. When some made a fuss about |
|
Bush wearing a wire, we were told that because the kerry campaign chose not to make an issue about it the press went by that judgment. Sure. There is vast resistance to giving Dems a voice, Yet Obama continuing to cal them out will have an effect.
We are starting out in a better position than Kerry in 2004 against an even weaker GOP ticket in some ways. MAYBE McCain can outperform Bush-on-a-wire, but he is old and not an incumbent. There is no future, no continuity, just apprehension and anger and old animosities against him. Palin is a younger Bush/Nixon cramming suddenly for the presidency. No matter the slant and the fixes that is one debate they will really be sweating out when any other candidate could have been on snooze control for an ignored draw.
This is a battle. Against time and money. Against corporate media. Against ignorance. Against frauds and lies that may never see headline confrontation this entire election season. We ARE winning. they intend to sneak Palin in and out with sleight of hand and interrupt the national attention with shocks and divisions.
We will win if we keep to the work.

when Bush was elected because he was someone the people would want to have a beer with, competence doesn't enter into it.
