Will be voting for Obama/Biden!

He sent me an e-mail yesterday.

They are now voting Obama/Biden FOR SURE, his reason?

P A I L I N!!! Pailin!

He said he was disgusted with the irresponsible pick, and that he lost all respect he ever had for McSame!

2-3 months ago, he was yelling at me when he learned I backed Obama...He kept trying to tell me why McCain is the ONLY choice, but they would consider Hillary maybe?

He saw McCain as a reasonable person, in the middle on most issues (his words), and we JUST CAN't TAKE A CHANCE ON OBAMA!!!

It all changed now...

This person is a level-headed individual, highly educated, and I have always valued his opinion on things. He is retired now, but we kept in touch.

He opposed the war, but argued that leaving Iraq right now is not good...etc.
He thought economic downturn was just that, economies go up and down...etc.
He thought going after big corp. is not good or healthy for this country...etc.
He thought some poor people need to get out and work and make a living, he hates welfare moms...etc.
And on and on...

Palin will bring Obama votes from more reasonable people...I am not talking about their base, I am talking about independents and truly centrists folks.

1. There's a mormon "independent" (republican) in my office...
he seems to be very troubled about the fact that he's now leaning Obama.

I could tell he really wanted to support Palin... he's a real 'family values' type... but the lying and the stupid... it's wearing him down.

:)

7. I have an aunt and a whole slew of cousins who are LDS. I don't
think Obama will be getting any votes out of that part of the family. But I do wonder why they don't understand that fundies think LDS is a cult and that all Mormons are going to hell.

8. Hehehe... I will...
but he'll just say you must be hard-core Dems!

He thinks the only people who unreservedly support Obama are hard-core dems... despite us having a former republican in this office who unreservedly supports Obama. :D

2. My gut tells me that independents and moderates aren't going to support mccain/palin
mostly because of palin

The media hype will show again how wrong their impressions have been and are throughout the years

4. I think so too. And there's another possibility. Most fundies
don't go in for speaking in tongues at ALL. They're afraid of it. Heck, they're even afraid of chanting. They're afraid of hypnosis, meditation and even YOGA for cryin' out loud.

I know this because I was raised fundie and my brother is a fundie preacher. So, there may just be a little bit of a backlash from real Bible churches. Palin's church is called a Bible church but it's really AOG.

6. Palin church videos
The more people learn about her whacked out church and its bizarre beliefs, the more who will abandon John "I'm way past my life expectancy" McCain.

13. My grandparents...
...who voted for Nixon instead of JFK, who supported Dole over Clinton, who voted for Bush twice...
...who told my mother she better not ever bring a black man home...
...who still make racist comments when they think I am not listening...

are voting for Obama!

Both of them realize that McCain is only four years younger than them, and can't imagine how he could govern. My grandfather is a hardcore Korean War-era Marine, and can't comprehend how McCain can say we are winning in Iraq. Both grandparents find Palin to be a joke.

This gives me hope, no matter what the fricken polls say.
