Weird.

This is first 6 day poll I have seen.

It might be a good idea as it evens out the "blips"?

Then again 6 days is kinda weird. Why not make it one more day and call it a weekly tracking poll?

4. Polls are where the pollster want them to be.....
for the most part.

All they have to do is pinpoint the zip code they are calling, as well as the time they are calling.....that, and how they frame the questions gives them the latitude that they need to
paint whatever picture they need. Then the media runs with those polls, in order to play the mind game with voters....who are always more willing to support someone winning than not.

But in this case, I think that the ground game going on below the surface will tell a tale
on November 4th. I do truly believe that...which is why McCain had no choice than to get
the fundies on board......that was the only way he was going to have even a remote chance.

5. What results would IBD want? What does Wall Street want? Obama?
He seems to have support there but others I listen to - are repugs all the way.

17. IBD is editorially a right wing paper
I mean rabidly right wing. Can't speak to the rest of the paper. It doesn't really answer your question but that's what I know from this paper.

6. The Electoral College (state polls) are where the strategy is.
A nationwide individual poll of not even 900 people is probably not very informative for how the Electoral College will play out.

7. That's true, but news of nationwide polls is very influential on otherwise uninformed people.

8. The facts about Sarah Palin is sinking in.... Obama is letting the slow drip of news do its work
And it is... Obama spokeswoman Stephanie Cutter is hitting Palin hard on MSNBC right now. I also heard
Sen. Clair McCaskill bring up Palin's charging taxpayers for sleeping under her own roof during a chat
with a smiling Good Andrea Mitchell.

11. Computer Model Shows Obama Up but w/ Closer Margin
Some computer scientists at the University of Illinois have created a computer model predicting the outcome of the election. Earlier this week Obama had a 97% probability of winning the election. Today, he has only 74% probability. We need to get back on the upswing!! http://election08.cs.uiuc.edu/

15. poll conducted by "TechnoMetrica". Um.. who?
TechnoMetrica isn't a polling service, they're a market research firm. It's close enough of a difference that it could be a good poll (despite varying with what most other researchers are finding). But I have to wonder what they mean on their website (other than sales hype) when they say
"TIPP was launched in 1997 and since then has been the leading innovator in public opinion polling. With its innovative approach to polling, TIPP has attracted some of the media's most respected players to exclusive polling partnerships"

You gotta wonder how they differ or (speaking as someone who used to be in that same line of work) even if they differ from other researchers with their "innovative approach to polling."
