Why isn't Hillary going after Palin?
Clinton herself took to the campaign trail in Florida yesterday on Obama's behalf and urged voters to support the Democratic ticket. But, prompted by one spectator, she declined to take after Palin.

"You know what? I don't think that's what this election is about," Clinton said at a rally in Kissimmee. "This election is about the differences between us and the Republican Party,"

It should be obvious that we need a woman to go after Caribou Barbie...why isn't Clinton up to the challenge?

2. Clinton did attack McCain/Palin yesterday. Looking to pick at old primary wounds?
As Obama would say..."Enough!"

7. This has nothing to do with the primary
it has to do with the obvious lift Palin has given the Pub ticket...we need someone to shoot her down. I don't see why that's so hard to understand.

3. Stop stop stop....
... I don't think she is going after Palin because it would seem caddy. The media would play it up as a "catfight", further demean women, and make this about something it's not. Hillary is doing GREAT stumping for Obama and I'm sure she's doing exactly what the Obama campaign asks of her. I'm sure she's up to the challenge, but that is not the directive she has been given... yet.

Look back at my previous posts. I have not been a Clinton fan, by any stretch of the imagination, but damn... lay off the woman. She's working her butt off for Obama and doing what is asked of her.

Why ask this? Be thankful she is campaigning for him in the first place.
Don't get me wrong, I would be thrilled if she went after Palin, but I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth.

5. a "palin/clinton" girlfight would just be too distracting to the media
plus, they would twist it into "Obama hiding behind Hillary". It's just not a good idea, and the Obama campaign knows it.

6. There's been a shift of white women towards McCain
one poll, ABC News, has it at 20%. The MSM appears enamored with Palin, we need a credible woman to point out her lies..the media won't do it, who better than Hillary?

8. Chuck Todd said this AM that poll DOES NOT add up! He said how
can the white women swing vote be up 20%, and at the same time the overall numbers are tied!!
Now you know why ABC is getting the interview!

10. Barbara Boxer was really good the other day.
I agree, it would get a lot of media attention if Hillary did it...I feel like it might be the Obama's campaign's decision though, right or wrong. Maybe they are afraid that the GOP would turn around and say "Why believe Hillary, she said this, this, and this about Obama" or something.

9. I think that Hillary is going after McCain because HE is the one
running for president. If McCain does not get elected, Palin goes back to Alaska and has another baby.

13. Because McSame is on the top of the ticket and Palin is irrelevant.
Edited on Tue Sep-09-08 01:28 PM by curious one
It is McSame judgment to bring an unqualified person on the ticket. Palin is an old news now. Her history will destroy her.

15. Palin is subterfuge. McBush is Obama's opponent and, therefore, the target.
Plus McBush fired the "sexism" salvo from the get-go so that's a cue that ANYTHING said about Caribou Barbie will be dissected, distorted, and used to steer the discussion away from the issues.

16. It's not that Hillary isn't up to the challenge. It should be obvious that if Obama wanted her to
go after Palin, she could and would. Clinton is coordinating her appearances with Obama's campaign and they set the tone, not her. She's playing it by Obama's book right now because it is his campaign.
