1. None of the above.
McCain/Palin got the same bounce that every single candidate has gotten, give or take a couple points, since the advent of televised conventions. As the OP said, it's a temporary bounce. And indeed, today's Gallup tracking poll is tied, while yesterday's had McCain up by a point.

2. I don't think it's any of those things. I think it's Sarah's RW extremist
positions that convinced the RW nutballs to agree to McNut!

6. Agreed!
The mainstreet press have no interest in getting to the facts, only in not offending their (rightwing) corporate owners. This includes staying away from asking the tough questions...even those regarding how a person's religious convictions shape their political ones. The MSM place these purely artificial borders around what is "fair play" and stay in their little comfort zones while the nation turns to %*$^*#

7. People have to realize that our media is owned by corporations who also...
...own energy, investment and defense companies who rely on our corrupt government's policies.

How do we get the word out when our MSM is corrupt?

4. Could a lot of us be responsible for letting "Silly Sarah" dominate the discussion?

8. Corporate media horsepucky spin?
Palin's speech sucked Moose balls through a garden hose, and anybody with a brain who managed to sit through the whole thing could see that. But the media whores would have you believe she was Jesus Christ delivering the long awaited sequel to the "Sermon on the Mount".
