Should I get my brakes fixed first?
Edited on Tue Aug-31-04 08:11 AM by quaoar
Just got my Kerry/Edwards bumper sticker.

The brakes on my truck need new pads.

I live in Alabama.

Should I get the brakes fixed before I put that Kerry sticker on? LOL

Actually, I live in a very Republican neighborhood, yet there are just as many Kerry/Edwards stickers here as those stupid W window stickers that you have to strain to see. And Bush is only up by 11 points here in the latest poll, which is sort of amazing.

1. Get the brakes fixed first
We want you safe in that car and there are a lot of dark-hearted people on their side.

2. You Must Fix The Brakes First.
If you don't, the added weight of your bumper sticker will eventually cause your brakes to fail, sending you careening wildly to your doom. :bounce:

3. I live in N Texas and had a bad experience with that
I have 2 anti-Bush and one Kerry sticker.

I went to TireExpert and had to go back there 3 times to have them install the brakes correctly. They forgot to insert a blade that is necessary in Toyota Corollas to prevent screeching. They broke my hubcap and were extremely rude.

It could just be sloppy service, but their overall demeanor suggested they don't liked my bumper stickers.

Really sad sign of the times.

4. That's what I'm talking about
You get some asshole mechanic who thinks you must be one of those traitors who hates the president and decides to teach you a lesson.
