Anyone mentioned Palin's apparent attitude towards maternity leave?
I know for years parents have fought to get a decent amount of maternity leave with the security of having a job to go back to...

Sarah Palin made it a point of pride to be back at her desk within a couple days of giving birth, depending on whether there was a weekend in there.

"Family leave? Hell, I dropped my kid and was back as soon as I could change out of my maternity clothes!"

Just another "pro-business/anti-family" point to add to the list...

1. I've given birth twice
And the first couple of weeks you don't really even want to leave the house with all that's going on down below. I can't imagine going back to work that quickly for that reason, plus you should be home bonding with your baby. I'm suspicious. I think six weeks maternity leave is too little by a long shot.

6. She only returned to work quickly because she's paranoid and wants to keep an eye on everyone.
Control freak.

7. I'm betting you're correct!
I can't think of another reason a mother would want to go back to work so soon! We are hard wired to want to bond with our babies during that time. I would have never been able to keep my mind on work. Plus, I didn't have a nanny. With my second and third babies, I could have easily gone back to work the next day... physically, that is... I was strong as hell! However, I could have never, ever left my babies that early. The thought that a woman could brag about such a thing makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up... ugh!
