When I first saw the posting about "increasing sales tax" I asked "How can that be? Alaska doesn't HAVE a State Sales Tax!" Someone from AK responded that she had initiated on in one area when there was no tax before, and that it is true AK doesn't have a State Sales Tax nor a State Income Tax.
