If Tim Russert did not die, no way McCain would have picked Palin |

Because he would know that she would not be able to survive a Meet The Press interview with him. Now Palin has to deal with soft weights like Charlie Gibson who will essentially give her a pass on anything.

and while I thought Timmie was waaay too in the hip pocket of the Iraq war mongers, get away from that subject and he would ask far tougher "on the spot" questions, and always had a video clip of you saying something that you now disagree with or accuse the other side of doing.
McCain might still have picked Palin, but no way would they let her on that show.
