Here is where Obama is wrong......

but I wish he was right!!!

He keeps saying "I have faith in the American People......"

He said it about 5 times last night on KO.

The issue is the GOP voters are stupid and I don't have faith in them. The avergae voter is too stupid to do anything except watch McLame commercials while American Idol is on.

If the American People were like the people here on DU and intelligent like Obama then we would be winning 60/40 easily.

I hope that people realize what is at stake here!!!

I honestly know GOP idiots who would vote for Hitler if he was running as the GOP candidate as long as he was anti-taxes and pro-guns. They are that stupid!

1. Calm down. If you want to stroke an idiot, tell him he's smart
And he'll follow you like a little lap dog. The pubs have been doing this for years it's about time our side figured it out!

2. I love that line
He's saying, "people, you can't be that stupid". He isn't speaking to the fundies with that line. He's reassuring his base and talking to moderates; be it republican, dem, independent or others.

7. You get more votes by complimenting the electorate, not by insulting them....

He *KNOWS* a lot of them are idiots..... but he's stroking their egos.

10. After 2004 I have no faith in the American people
Edited on Tue Sep-09-08 04:13 PM by MrWiggles
And given the last 8 years of a failed administration where 80% of the public view of President Bush negatively, the McCain campaign is still pretty much alive in this election. The American public must be extremely gullible or I must be way out of touch. Perhaps people are doing well under Bush and they want more of the same with McCain. Who knows? I don't understand.

11. I was going to say the the same thing..
The Bush reelection was the biggest slap in the face to all of who are paying attention to the facts.

13. What folks here don't get is...

You do NOT get votes by calling people stupid.

That was actually part of the vote for Bush - people who were tired of being called stupid because they were leaning Bush or undecided.

If you know a leaner or an undecided voter - and I know a couple - please treat them with respect and use all of the charm you have.
