OKAY. I have my list of people to call to recruit as volunteers |
|
I will start calling this evening - there are 6 pages of people to call! I am registering voters on Saturday morning. Although I have no idea what to do, my name will be put in for precinct captain if there's an opening. I want to canvass Sunday night, but we have to go to a baby shower. I offered to help monitor the polls during early voting in Texas, and as Bullwinkle925 will be visiting then she will also help!
I feel really good about doing this. I wanted to volunteer earlier, but we have been traveling most of the summer and I wasn't home long enough to really do anything. This being Texas, I don't know how things will turn out in November, but at least I will have done my part.

2. The precinct captain is pretty easy |
|
You don't really do much except when the county party meets once every year. As for registering votes, they will show you what needs filled out, you pretty much coach the new voter and let them fill it out. Easy work. Fulfilling too, you added to the voting population.
Good luck and glad to see the volunteers.
