Hidden clue about the "internals"... where are the candidates today
Edited on Tue Sep-09-08 04:19 PM by scheming daemons
Biden: Missouri (red state in 2000 and 2004)

Obama: Ohio (red state in 2000 and 2004)

McCain/Palin: Ohio (red state in 2000 and 2004)

Others:

Hillary Clinton: Florida (red state in 2000 and 2004)

All parties are campaigning in states that went for Bush in 2000 and 2004.

The game is being played on Republican turf at the moment. That's a very good sign.

Addendum:

Obama has spent $9 million in advertising in Florida the past month.

The Miami Herald has announced that the McCain campaign has just purchased a $1.1 million ad buy in Florida.

Both Obama *AND* McCain are tipping their hand that they think (fear?) Florida might turn blue.

McCain shouldn't be worried about spending any money there... but he is.... why?

Update: Obama now in Virginia. Another red state the past two elections.

1. Those states are not republican turf, they are swing states

5. The good thing is, Democrats have less defense to play
Republicans have several places where they need to play defense, so that leaves them unable to be offensive. With fewer blue states on the line, Democrats are free to play a very heavy offensive.
