open debates. This will be my 4th presidential election and have voted for Clinton, Gore, Kerry and will be casting my ballot this time around for Barack Obama here in Ohio. Why we need to open the debates is simple because with the closed debates the rethugs control the issues debated (abortion, gun rights, war, etc.) which are important but is the same old song and dance. Which in turn does little to nothing for me a working class Ohioian whose state has been decimated by free trade. I say bring in the fringe candidates who will bring debatable issues that mean something to me.

we had a nice political discussion on who we are voting for and of the 12 people chatting I am the only one who is positively going to vote. Everyone else was pretty much saying they have no reason to vote because no one is standing up for their job right now. And this is a very common train of thought around these parts and Ohio being a swing state it should matter. So it is time for the Obama camp to let my co workers know that our jobs won't be next to move to Mexico by encouraging trade debate but I don't see it becoming a discussion in a 2 person debate because the rethugs don't want it to be.
