David Gregory-"Obama On The Ropes" |
|
What's up with that?
I thought he was supposed to be the non partisan mug of MSNBC...
The only way Obama is on the ropes is if he's Muhammad Ali and McCain is George Foreman...

Obama may have been taken back a bit by the Palin bubble inflating the puke party, but have no fear, Palin will get knocked out TKO. And she's gonna do it to herself. She's a lightweight and Obama is in a class several above her.

The rope a dope is performed by a boxer assuming a protected stance, in Ali's classic pose, lying against the ropes, and allowing their opponent to hit them in the hope that the opponent will become tired and make mistakes which the boxer can exploit in a counter attack. Rope-a-dope is also commonly used to describe strategies in areas other than boxing, where one party purposely puts itself in what appears to be a losing position, and then becomes the eventual victor.

Matthews is on before Gregory--when people aren't home yet--and he's on after Gregory--when people have all ready taken in 45 minutes of news that day.
Then, we have Olbermann and Maddow on later.
MSNBC knows what it's doing.

CNN is more balanced than Gregory's sideshow. Difficult to digest Blitzer though...as boring as McCain.
Tweety was on again today. Saying, in effect, that we old duffers should be thinking of our children's and grand-children's future. Think future, not past. I've been saying that for months. He was very supportive of Obama.

. . .the fact that a quasi-fascist follower of bushncheneyism like McCain is even within striking distance, much less neck and neck, demonstrates the utter failure of the "let's all get along with war criminals" strategery. Fortunately, impeachophobia is Curable. It's time for a serious http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=389&topic_id=3961601&mesg_id=3965026">Intervention.
