Dear Lurking Freepers: Palin got a degree in journalism because she wanted to be a
sports/news anchor. She went to 5 colleges in 6 years. She has never in her life had any ambition or any interest in national politics, let alone world wide issues such as global warming, the war on terror, or the global economy. All she cared about was staying in Alaska and making her friends and family rich by sucking up to the right people.

Why on EARTH do you think she is anywhere near qualified to be president of the united states?
Wouldn't you want someone in that position who had always aspired to be such a leader? Someone who has volunteered their time to help people.. not enter into beauty pageants??

Seriously, is this person REALLY the best leader for our country??

Are you that willing to risk WWWIII, completely destroying our economy and destroying what good will we still have left with our allies, just because you want a pro-life beauty queen to win this election?

PTA parent to President? Are you serious???

30. I had a thought today...
I think we need to use Palin's killing (hunting) of animals against her...a Whisper Campaign from the grassroots. There should be thousands of websites like 'Palin Pommels Puppies.'

Nothing worse than hurting kitties and puppies....got any pictures of that???? Even the angry white guys (Reagan Dems) would hate that.

We have to show that the repugnant ticket is The Insane Ticket! And if you vote for them, you're insane as well.

4. And, after you read through the OP and ponder that question...
I sincerely ask you to admit -- if only to yourself -- the damage done to this country in the last eight years as a direct result of Bush's decisions. Please remember that he had a Republican congress for the first six years...

Economically, if nothing else, he is responsible for much damage to many HARD-WORKING Americans. There was damage from decisions in the 90's as well, to be certain, but he has driven us into the grown with his "go shopping!" type of advice right after 9/11, rather than being thoughtful and doing the tough (and right) thing.

We don't need a repeat of a thoughtless president. Palin's comment that she had "no hesitation" about accepting the VP running mate spot should speak volumes to the average person. ANYONE should hesitate and give thought to such a huge responsibility, unless they've been groomed for it their entire life.

That was wreckless, but I think very much a mirror into how she works. Bush is a knee-jerk person, too.

6. So, lemme ask you this.
It's something I've been wondering for a day or so. How does a governor, ANY US governor, not know Fannie and Freddie are private companies? Aren't homeowners and their financial situations usually important to governors? Not to mention, EVERYONE who pays attention to the news (a profession in which she was formally trained?), or anyone paying a mortgage to Fannie and Freddie, knows that. Out of touch with current events much, Sarah?

Also, which other governors don't know what the Bush Doctrine is? The fact that it's even one is scary, but either this is a dangerous trend in supremely stupid governors, or she's just an incredibly incurious woman. What happened to keeping up with the news, Sarah?

29. WERE private companies
Don't you know they just got too big and became a burden on the taxpayers, so we had to do something about them.

Oh wait, maybe she was talking about 4 years from now while we're still paying to bail them out...

She's a Prophet. Don't you remember? She goes to that wacky cult church where they speak in creepy gibberish and pretend God is talking directly to THEM.

God willed Prophet Sarah to rule the Earth.

(wasn't there some kind of Commandment that warned us about stuff like this?)

Many sports anchors seem to be getting interested in politics lately. Olbermann is better, in my opinion.

12. Haha! That's funny.
keith is just.. uh.. SLIGHTLY more briefed on current events than Ms. Congeniality Palin.

Even if keith did start as a sports reporter, he at least had aspirations to do more.. and he had a curiosity about the world that both AWOL Bush and Sarah Palin lack.

Yes, he certainly is! See, even a journalist knows more about foreign policy than the vice presidential candidate!

13. She is kind of a jaw dropping choice...

As in, WTF?

I can't help but wonder if the Bushies now prepping her suggested her BECAUSE of her inexperience. I have a growing suspicion that McCain's really not meant to win at all. They need a Democrat to rebuild the economy, since they'd lose their 'boardroom cred' if they did it themselves... assuming they might have the capability in the first place.

Why would they want the economy re-built, you ask? Why, simply so that there's something for them to swoop into office and raid in a few terms. Like they did with the Savings & Loans under Reagan and Bush... Like they did with the mortgage industry recently... and the real estate industry... and the dot com industry...

Palin, meanwhile, gets national exposure. Then, later, they bring her back... she then appoints the right de-regulators to allow the looting of whatever new industry/economy has been built.

Of course, this theory has a lot of holes... and is really probably just insanity. I merely share it because there are some glaring points of potential sanity contained within it.

Just sayin...

17. I agree with you partly.. but I think Rove picked her to make women look bad
Edited on Thu Sep-11-08 09:01 PM by bushisanidiot
in general. It's his way of saying "see? americans don't trust a woman to be president, so why should Hillary bother running again?"

republicans are pure anti-woman sexists.. even the women. A hell of a lot of them are going to stay home on election day.. they have their own bradley effect going on in the polls. they will say on the record that they love Palin/McCain and they have no problem with a woman being president, but they don't really believe that deep down.
