McCain: 'I respect community organizers'

McCain seemed to repudiate Sarah Palin's convention-hall sarcasm about Barack Obama's days as a community organizer in his appearance at the national service forum at Columbia.

"Governor Palin was responding to the criticism" of her experience and her time as a small-town mayor, McCain said.

"Of course I respect community organizers. Of course I respect people who serve their communities. Sentaor Obama’s service in that area is outstanding," he said.

He also said the campaign's negative tone "would have been very different if Senator Obama had accepted my request to appear in town hall meetings across America."

Must be feeling the pressure.

After bashing ‘community organizers’ last week, McCain will appear at public service forum tonight.

2. He's off his rocker
What would town-hall meetings have to do with the tone of the campaign. He's still be a jack-ass regardless. He's a liar - plain and simple.

6. He skates all the time by just saying he doesn't agree with something
hideous his campaign said.

I have never heard his interviewer then ask, "Well, why don't you repudiate that statement?"
