Pres forum: McCain admits once again that his attacks on Obama are revenge |
|
Said the campaign would have had a different tenor if Obama had just accepted his request to do town hall meetings with him.
So that's how he deals with people when he doesn't get his way? Great. What is he going to do to Putin then? Or any other world leader?
How does he get away with saying that without getting called out?

13. I saw it on the TeeVee. He said it during the presidential candidate's forum. |

Olbermann also mentioned it within the last few days on his show, it might have been in his special comment on McCain. That's why I said "again" because he said it in today's presidential forum. Perhaps there's a transcript somewhere.

14. Transcript: Countdown Olbermann Sept. 10, 08 |
|
Edited on Fri Sep-12-08 01:16 AM by MagickMuffin
OLBERMANN: Yet, in an interview with Telemundo this afternoon, Senator McCain seeming to claim that he finds the negative tenor of the 2008 campaign regrettable, as if he’s had absolutely nothing to do with it. As well as entirely avoidable if only his opponent had agreed to join him at town hall-style events.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
MCCAIN: Probably the negativism, all these negative ads and personal attacks, Senator Obama’s recent comments about lipstick on a pig—I wish that Senator Obama had agreed with my request to go before the American people in town hall meetings, just the two of us with the American people. He’s refused today do that. I’m sorry; it might have changed the tenor of this campaign somewhat.
edit: moved a bracket to end of McCain quote
