Today at a university in Ohio voter registration....
Two Spanish speaking young men were registering to vote at a table supporting to vote. A Bible thumper (complete with Bible)lied to them that he was with the INS and that he would be looking for illegals on election day. I, along with a couple of other workers, assured these young men (who are NOT here illegally- they are citizens)that he was trying to scare them, but it was obvious that these young men who didn't completley understand what was being said was shaken up by the incident--maybe shaken up enough NOT to vote.

We have to be vigilante to work polls and reassure minorities on election day.

1. Community organizing is NOT being a "vigilante".

9. For the lexical difference of 1 letter, there's a whole world of semantic difference.

2. That Bible thumper makes me ashamed to be a human.
What the F*** is the point of having this brilliant democracy that Republicans claim to love so much (ha ha!) if you are willing to do shit like this to win? God they are awful, terrible people. I just hope a day comes when stupid f***s like that have died off and America becomes a much much better place.

4. It's against the law to impersonate a federal officer
next time, demand to see his badge. If he can't or won't, call the cops.

10. Son of a bitch pricks!
I swear to god this shit pisses me off. Bible thumpers my ass.

I live in a country where I don't fluently speak the language and nobody here, and I mean nobody, has taken advantage of me. People are good to me here, they tease my halting speech but gently correct my mistakes and never, ever make me feel weird for being an American. If I need an extra few weeks on my visa, I call and without too much headache, I can get it.

THAT COUNTRY IS MEXICO.
