Palin finally and irrevocably replaces Admiral Stockdale
as the most bizarre Vice Presidential pick of all time.

Somewhere, Ross Perot is grinning.

8. truly unbelievable
stringing together a bunch of memorized buzz phrases in a completely unsuccesful attempt to sound coherent, all the while punctuating them with "Charlie" and a pointed finger, as if that would somehow make her seem less imbecilic.

11. Carvey's Perot was unreal...poor Phil Hartman
:(

Here's a debate clip. Check it out at 7:12 or so:

Sympathetic guy, actually, unlike Sarahbelle. I've never seen anyone in so far over his head. Also watch Gore's very sincere tribute to Stockdale at the beginning. Stockdale is genuinely touched. Perot threw him to the lions.

10. Adm. Stockdale was damaged due to his time as a POW
Palin, on the other, has no such excuse.

12. Those responses will never hurt her with the general public
I realize we want to savage her but she never allowed herself to be on the defensive, and gave perfectly reasonable responses from the right wing point of view. Even on the Bush Doctrine answer her final summation could be used in a GOP ad. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised.

Sarah Palin is not going to crumble. We might as well accept that right now. She gives basic big picture answers that work with apolitical types. That will be true in the debate as well.

We need Bill Clinton right now. Get him on with Chris Wallace like in 2006 to exhaust all the crap and return to proper focus. I can't believe we're still stuck on Sarah Palin.
