I dunno, maybe I'm optimistic, but for one thing, that hideous McCain ad about teaching sex ed got pretty much NOWHERE. In the past it would have been played ad nauseum on every news channel, yet I seem to have heard little about it except how hideous it was and it seems to be getting very little if any air time.

And it seem there is a meme developing about the constant stream of egregious lies coming from The McC campaign...I dunno, whaddaya think?

1. The Fact Is, Sir, McCain Is A Liar And A Rat

He professed an inability to define honor in a recent interview, and his behavior demonstrates that ignorance comes from the heart: he cannot define honor because he has none.

Many in the press taken in earlier by his imposture as a man of honor on a personal level are feeling personally duped and betrayed.

2. Yes and no...

Because every time they play the "Lipstick on a Pig" clip, and then say it's kind of silly, it still gives it life. Same with the "Pack of Wolves" ad and the sex ed ad. And they don't really cry out and out "foul", they just say, "ah, it's politics" and don't come out and really condemn anything.

I think the 9/11 Service Forum, and the surprisingly genteel agreement between the two camps to not campaign and air ads today will be the one thing that helps stem the tide.
