Anyone else sense the tide is turning?
Lots of good vibes going Barack's way yesterday, today and tonight. This could be the turning point... and no looking back!!

1. Agree. Palin ran interference, kind of, for a few days, but now she must
go up against the media, Joe Biden, and History.

I don't like her chances much.

she doesn't know much more. Biden will mop the floor with her.

She really did drop the ball on that one. She gave it a try, so I
guess she understood the context, but then she dropped the ball.

Agree with you -- Biden is going to very courteously but very thoroughly crush her in that debate.

I can't wait to see her in front of a bunch of wild rabid press corps looking for blood.

Hi, DCBob.

Palin is not a fully-realized adult, IMO. She behaves like someone who takes every advantage to advance herself at others' expense.

Biden's entire career is exactly the opposite of that model. I think he will tear her to shards on the debate stage.

Her only hope is to intimidate him with subtle suggestions of sexism. However, I think Joe will be ready for that.

31. Mine, too. My guess is that Biden will brush up on a few things and
then add them to his already-massive arsenal.

He understands quite a few things about stuff Palin's likely never heard of.

There's an addage that says it's a dangerous man who doesn't know what he doesn't know.

Same for women. Same for a particular woman in this case.

I think DU will definitely be tuned in to watch that debate.

10. Want to see how the tide is turning? Head over to the ABC blog for
the interview. Even the majority of the Palin supporters aren't saying she did well...they're railing at Charlie Gibson for being unfair and rude. They know she came off poorly and they're blaming it on anything and everything they can. And of course, there are some that think Palin did wonderfully, but their posts usually include the words "Muslim" and "Hussein".

20. Palin's future
Today I was trying to remember Katherine Harris' name.....for the life of me I could NOT remember her name, and had to Google to find it. Back in 2000, her name was on everyones lips, she was the next BIG repuke SUPERSTAR...there was talk of a senate run...governor...heck maybe next VP...they were all in a twitter about the RW SUPERSTAR Katherine Harris. Now 8 years later, even a political junkie like me can't even remember her name.
It will be the same with Palin.

and I am not trying to be an asshole. but don't underestimate the motivation to see this man get elected. I have never seen this before here. whether we win this state or not this is going to be a dog fight and I like our chances. mccain is defending a lot more bush states that obama is kerry states. forget the national polls. name me one state mccain will take that kerry won. I can name several that obama has a damn good chance taking that bush won. forget the popular vote. its the electoral college and we are in good shape there baby!

26. Maybe
I was pretty demoralized the past few days, but I'm feeling a little more optimistic tonight. Glad to hear Palin's interview seems not to be going so well, although who knows if that will hurt McCain or end up helping him (because women feel like Gibson was too tough).

It's kind of funny to see the Freepers raging about ABC and Gibson and start organizing campaigns to call and complain the same way we did about the same network and the same anchor after the Philadelphia debate.
