I saw two different generations on that stage tonight. One continued to look to the past for solutions and one challenged us to look to the future for solutions and strength. I guess I don't have to say who was who.

I see what is happening so clearly after watching these two men tonight. We have a young generation who is challenged and inspired to do more for his fellow man. I think most people genuinely like to do things for others. But sometimes we just don't know how or what we can do. So we do nothing and become very lazy. That's where we are in this country--or should I say where we were before Barack Obama stepped onto the national stage. He inspires us to want to do better and be better cause deep down he knows we ARE better than the past eight years. That's what has energized the young and old.

John McCain does not get it. He knows what has "worked" for him to survive--whether physically, politically or emotionally--and that's the course he takes. More of the same. That's why he's just like Bush. That's all they know and that's all they want to know.

This is what this election is going to come down to--as we keep saying--the past vs. the future. You can wrap it up in a ton of different words but it all comes out to the same thing.

I'm betting on the tall, skinny, guy with a strange name:)
