2. I don't know about you, but for my .44 magnum...
Usually, I'm weighing powder, not bullets, but "grains" is the measure of either.

The 290-grain, gas-checked, Keith-style bullet is my most used heavyweight .44 bullet. I have the NEI double-cavity mold for this bullet. BRP also supplies excellent ready-cast bullets of this design that actually weigh 290 grains.

I have two favorite loads for this bullet: 21.5 gralns of H110 for 1,350 to 1,400 fps, and 10.0 grains of Unique for 1,100fps.

Bang Bang!!!

5. He's no longer with us...
But I know what you mean.

He didn't care for Magnums, however. He liked the challenge of matching the weapon to the task, and took out Cape Buffalo with relatively small arms.

"O'Connor was never a high velocity "true believer" like Roy Weatherby, who went to Africa and knocked off a Cape buffalo with a .257 Wby. Magnum, proving that it could be done. Nor was he particularly a fan of "Magnum" cartridges, although he owned and used some magnum rifles. Jack always recommended appropriate calibers for the job at hand."

I'm not a hunter, don't care for killing, but I like target practice and the second amendment.
