My favorite line from the Palin/Gibson interview
Gibson: I'm sorry. I'm getting lost on all the words you are throwing out. Was that a yes?

It's almost like Palin was given about 20 sound bites to memorize, and her job was to match the sound bite to the question. That's why she couldn't answer a question with a yes or no. She could only answer with the programmed language.

4. and then...
She answered the "was that a yes?" question with.... another "blizzard of words". Ironically, most of the words matched the previous blizzard as well.

5. Almost kind of like one of those trained lab rats
The ones conditioned to hit the bell to make the sound at given intervals.

I also loved the generally unimpressed tone of his speaking voice and body language.

I have had some critical things to say about all the editing done to the interview...but the more I think about it I think it may have been a function of her unbelievably long-winded, preprogrammed answers to virtually every question. They just ate up too much time.

Charlie, on the whole, I think did a pretty decent job.

I can't believe I'm saying it either. :P

7. I like how he let her twist in the wind when he realized she didn't know what the Bush Doctrine is.
It looked like he almost gave her some help, then he stopped himself and just let her make a fool out of herself for a while.

Sometimes it is what you don't say that makes all the difference

18. Exactly..! He was about to fall for her trap, "in what respect, Charlie" ...
... and then he caught himself, and just threw it back to her. Total moose in headlights.

8. Rudy's "9-11" convention speech from 04 comes to mind
"9-11, 9-11, 9-11, oh and 9-11 folks. 9-11."

This is like watching a football franchise gain traction using a 1960's playbook. We know the plays, why do we keep allowing them to make them?

I am scared that the media will not report her F-ups. They will exaggerate any flub Obama makes.

16. Did you ever play a computer game called "Eliza"?
It was supposed to mimic talking to a real human. It had a list of stock answers that it spewed out whenever a certain key word appeared in the sentence you typed in.

Sarah Palin = Eliza. No actual comprehension, just a clumsy attempt to fake intelligence.
