1. It is only the beginning |
|
The problem is that she just doesn't know what she is talking about. Biden will mop her up at the debates, because he knows more about foreign policy than just about anyone.
McCain doesn't have much of a wit about the issues either. The smart republicans know what they are talking about, but they are just full of shit. Neither McCain nor Palin are smart enough to BS the issues, so they are hiding from the media. They will get crushed in the debates.

2. I don't know how it will impact the race, but it should scare the hell out of people |
|
to talk so lightly about war with Russia, Iran, etc. is not the sign of a mature or rational person

3. It sure won't help McCain |
|
Nobody who wasn't already heavily leaning towards McCain/Palin (or rather Palin/McCain) will be at all impressed or convinced by that.

5. I'm offended to have voted as I did... |
|
But I turned on CNN, while surfing, just out of curiosity. MSNBC seems nearly universally offended by Palin.... but all the "analysts" on CNN seem to be siding with Palin, suggesting things like the notion that a VP candidate shouldn't be expected to know what the "Bush Doctrine" is....
WTF??
Seems like many on CNN are either worried about their appeal to "Hockey Moms" or they are ready to endorse VP ignorance... as long as the VP is "of the people".
Shit... might as well appoint the principal of my high school... California borders Mexico.... so there's some foreign policy experience... and my high school was maybe half the size of Wasilla... so there's some executive experience...
WTF??
The worst thing about it is... if this is a democratic country... then this sort of thing suggests that people are just stupid.
On the other hand... Charlie Gibson seemed duly offended by the stupidity of the responses... so maybe that will count for something.

7. I think for anyone who was on the fence |
|
they will be running away as fast as possible. My alternate on the other shift called me after he watched the interview and told me what she said. When he heard her say that his head just about exploded. This is a guy that voted for * twice.

11. People who liked her will like it. |
|
People who didn't, won't.
Palin will give people on the fence little to sway them either way.
People who were moved by her bold statements at the RNC may be put-off by her hedging and softening of the message. People who were disgusted by her RNC speech will still be disgusted.
It's only a matter of time until the honeymoon is over, and the Repubs realize that they still don't have much.
